Get Royalty Free Music for YouTube Videos
Finding great royalty free music for your YouTube videos or client work videos can be a challenge. I wanted to put together a one page resource for you to find some great music. These are all websites that I use for YouTube videos and client work and fully trust their site, licensing and music. Here’s the breakdown of each site.
Just FYI, as you probably know, these are all affiliate links and if you choose to subscribe to any of the services, I get a cut of that. Which totally helps support my channel!
Audiio Overview
I really like Audiio because first and foremost, the music is outstanding. I would say some of it rivals Musicbed. There’s a ton of great search features making it really easy to find the perfect song including a bunch of music with lyrics. Most music is approved for YouTube monetization but there are a few songs that are not approved. You’ll know because the if there’s a $ next to the song, you’re good to go. There’s several curated playlists but you can also favorite and create your own playlists as references for future videos. Also has a great sound effects library.

Audiio Pro - $199/year - Music and SFX - Use code CALEB10 for 10% off the Audiio Pro Plan
Artlist Overview
Artlist has some great music but what I like most about it, is that I’ve never had any issues with videos being flagged on YouTube. The license covers pretty much everything under the sun whether you’re podcasting, making short films, or simply putting out your own content. The license is also lifetime, meaning you can cancel your membership and still be covered for YouTube. Artlist also has a sound effects library as well as Artgrid stock video.

Music + SFX - $299/year
SoundStripe Overview
I’ve been using SoundStripe for several years and have always really liked the music selection. There’s some great search features and the universal license is fantastic for videos on YouTube or any other type of content you’re making. With the SoundStripe subscription, you have unlimited downloads that also includes the stems and alternate versions of the songs. You can whitelist your YouTube channel for auto clearance. However, probably the best part of SoundStripe is the Adobe Premiere Pro extension that allows you to stay in Premiere Pro while searching for music. I guess that’s only good if you’re a Premiere Pro user 🤷♂️.
SoundStripe Pricing
Music - $149/year - Use code HOOVERHEIGHTS for 10% off yearly subscription
Music + SFX - $245/year
Music + SFX + Stock Video - $399/year
Uppbeat Overview
Seriously, it’s FREE music for YouTube. Enough said, right? Yes, there is a paid option that allows you to whitelist your YouTube channel and get a few other benefits but if you’re a video creator on the budget of $0 then this might be the option for you. The search features are lacking a bit but there’s a great list of curated playlists that can really narrow your search. If nothing else, since it’s free, just sign up and test it out. Just make sure you credit the site and artist in your video description, which Uppbeat shows you how to do.
